Dannevirke Vets

This new Vet Clinic was designed by Dalgleish Architects for Vet Services. BPL Group were engaged by the architect to provide the structural engineering design for the building.

The new premises is approximately 800m², it also has off street parking.

The main structure of the building is comprised of steel frames, precast panels & steel bracing.

This project involved in depth conversation with the architect as the multi-sloped, cantilevered roofing required a steel frame to support the complex feature.

Designing the support frame was made easier with the use of Revit, a CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) programme which produces a 3D model of the design.

The architect produced a base layout of the building and this allowed the engineer to accurately design the steel framing to fit inside the architects shell.
